Services

Everything you need, nothing superfluous.

Bookkeeping, annual accounts, tax returns, payroll, corporate legal work and business setup: you choose the services your business needs, grouped in a single engagement letter.

Advice that comes with an accounting assignment is provided by KOADVISE. One-off advisory assignments are carried out by EZM CONSULTING, as are outsourced CFO services.

How I work

A direct practice, with the right tools.

I work alone, by choice: no member of staff between you and me, and tools that handle the repetitive work so that my time goes into your figures and your questions.

  • A single point of contact

You deal directly with me, the chartered accountant who prepares your accounts. Your file is not handed over to a member of staff.

  • Connected bookkeeping

I work on Pennylane: your bank accounts are synchronised and your bookkeeping moves forward as you go, not once a year.

  • Supporting documents collected for you

Supplier invoices retrieved automatically, receipts photographed on your phone: no more boxes of paperwork to send.

  • A written engagement letter

Before we start, an engagement letter sets out what I take on, what stays with you, the timetable and the fees.

  • Responsiveness

An invoice to file, a new hire, a quote to sign: you write to me or call me, and you get a clear answer without waiting for the year-end accounts.

  • Figures explained

I talk you through your accounts and, if you wish, I build a dashboard tailored to your business.

Connected bookkeeping

Up-to-date figures, not once a year.

I work on Pennylane. Your bank statements and invoices come through automatically, your bookkeeping moves forward as you go and you can follow your cash position day by day.

  • Bank synchronisedYour transactions come through every day, with no statements to send.
  • Invoices collectedRetrieved from your regular suppliers, forwarded by email or photographed.
  • Customer invoices trackedIssued from the tool or imported, and matched with incoming payments.
  • Year-end prepared aheadThe year-end close builds on books that are already clean.

Typical calendar

A year with me, step by step.

The rhythm of a company that closes its financial year once a year. The exact deadlines depend on your legal form, your tax regime and your year-end date: I keep track of them for you and let you know before each one.

  1. All year round

    Bookkeeping as you go

Bank and supporting documents synchronised, entries recorded and checked, questions dealt with as they come up.

  2. Every month or every quarter

    VAT returns

Prepared from up-to-date books, according to your VAT regime, then filed once you have approved them.

  3. Up to four times a year

    Corporate income tax instalments

If your company is liable and the amount of its tax warrants it: each instalment is calculated and flagged to you in advance.

  4. At the year end

    Year-end closing work

Stock, invoices still to be received or issued, income and expenses to match to the right year, depreciation: the year-end snapshot.

  5. In the following months

Annual accounts and corporate tax return

Annual accounts prepared, corporate tax return filed electronically within the deadlines, tax calculated and the balance due flagged before the payment date.

  6. At the year-end meeting

    Presenting your accounts

What worked well, what costs money, the decisions to make: salary, dividends, investments.

  7. Usually within six months

    Approval of the accounts

Decision of the sole shareholder or general meeting of the shareholders, within the required period (six months for a SARL, EURL and SASU, set by the articles of association in an SAS with several shareholders), then filing of the accounts with the commercial court registry.

  8. At the end of the year

    The CFE local business tax

The CFE notice checked before payment, which must be made by 15 December at the latest.

Who I work with

The businesses I support.

Businesses where the owner does everything, and who want a single point of contact for their figures.

  • Small business owners: SASU, EURL, SARL, SAS
  • Self-employed people and micro-entrepreneurs who are growing
  • Independent professionals, as sole traders or through a company
  • SCIs and furnished rental landlords
  • Non-profit associations

Getting started

Four steps to get started.

  1. First conversation

30 minutes, with no commitment, by video call or phone, to understand your business, your current situation and what you expect.

  2. Proposal and engagement letter

A written fixed-fee proposal, then an engagement letter that sets out the scope and each side’s timetable.

  3. Set-up

Your bank accounts connected, invoices collected automatically and, if you are changing chartered accountant, a handover of your file with your previous accountant.

  4. Follow-up through the year

Books kept up to date continuously, returns prepared in advance and year-end accounts presented to you, not just sent.

Frequently asked questions

Questions I am often asked.

Why use a chartered accountant?

To keep your accounting, tax and social security obligations under control, save time and have reliable figures for your decisions. Keeping and reviewing a company’s books on its behalf is also a regulated activity in France, carried out by professionals registered with the Ordre des experts-comptables, such as KOADVISE.

Can I change chartered accountant during the year?

Yes, subject to any notice period in your current engagement letter. Before accepting, I must inform your current chartered accountant, as the profession’s code of ethics requires, and, with your consent, they help with the handover of your file. Changing at the end of a financial year is the simplest option, but a mid-year handover can be prepared perfectly well: I take over the balances at the date of the change and carry on with the bookkeeping.

What documents do I need to provide to get started?

Your articles of association and a recent Kbis extract (company registration certificate), your latest annual accounts and your latest corporate tax return, the trial balance and general ledger if you already had a chartered accountant, access to your bank accounts (through a secure connection), and your main contracts: lease, loans, finance leases, employment contracts. Day to day, your purchase and sales invoices and your expense receipts are enough, and most of them come through automatically.

Do you work remotely?

Yes. With connected bookkeeping, most of our exchanges take place remotely, in writing, by phone or by video call. My practice is based in Corbeil-Essonnes, and face-to-face meetings are still possible in Paris and Île-de-France.

How long does it take to get started, and to produce the year-end accounts?

Once the engagement letter is signed, set-up usually takes a few days, depending on how quickly you send your documents and bank access. For the year-end accounts, I agree with you a closing timetable that fits your legal deadlines: filing of the corporate tax return, then approval of the accounts, within six months of the year end for a SARL. The details are on the Bookkeeping and annual accounts page.

How much does a chartered accountant cost?

My fees are fixed, paid monthly and set on the basis of a quote. They depend on the volume of documents, the number of bank accounts, whether you have employees and the services you choose. You receive a written proposal after the first conversation, which carries no commitment, and the amount is stated in the engagement letter.

Can I entrust you with only part of what I need?

Yes. You can give me the bookkeeping alone or the payroll alone, and add the annual corporate legal work to your accounting assignment. The engagement letter sets out what I take on and what stays with you. For advisory work without an accounting assignment, I work through EZM CONSULTING.

What software do you use?

I work on Pennylane, which synchronises your bank accounts and your invoices. If you already use another tool, we look together at the most suitable option before changing anything.
